HISTORY
BRENTWOOD
SQUARE was built by B.J. McMorrow, “Mac”, in 1969. The first and only ten story high-rise
commercial building in the community of Brentwood, in West Los Angeles,
California. Our location gives access to an attractive array of restaurants and
commercial activity nearby.
Mac is
also credited with developing the Brentwood Medical Plaza, as well
as the original Brentwood Savings and Loan, to name a few. Helped by Mac’s vision this once small
community has grown into a thriving business district.
Mac was
an integral part of our Westside community. He established deep roots first with his plumbing business, Wil-Mor
Plumbing, then by becoming involved in many local organizations.

Mac was a past president of the Brentwood
Youth House and of the Brentwood-San Vicente Chamber of Commerce.
He played an active role in community
affairs as well. He was a Commissioner
of the Rehabilitation Appeals Board of the L.A. County Department of
Engineer-Facilities, a “Champion” of the Brentwood Library Expansion campaign
and supervised the remodeling of the Brentwood Youth House.
Most of
all, Mac was a friend to his tenants and to his community. Here at BRENTWOOD SQUARE, we are committed to
continuing Mac’s traditions of top quality facilities and friendly tenant
relations.
